The EWIVA Trio, led by Evelyn Tóth plays mostly own compositions, based often on Hungarian or international traditional material as sources. Melancholy of fado, emotions of flamenco are melting with elements of jazz, electro, pop and world-music, creating thus their unmistakable sound, even in case of covering standards. Evelin Tóth started singing at the age of seven. After her classical studies she specialised in a number of exotic techniques (South-Indian, North-African, Sephardic). Since then, she has worked out her own voice technique, and due to her unique, incomparable voice, her truly attracting stage presence and her outstanding acting talents she receives a number of invitations for the stage, recording studios and concert venues. Her first 2010 solo album Let him kiss me with contribution of Hamid Drake. She has ben performed with William Parker, Amparo Sanchez, Natasha Atlas, Maria João, Zoltán Lantos, Gergő Borlai, Luca Kézdy, Mike Gotthard, The other members of the Trio are the Percussion Artist Kornél Mogyoró, he is a virtuoso percussion -artist, drummer, and songwriter, mix drumming and percussion playing in his unique performance. He has performed on stage with Hungarian and internationa pop, rock, jazz and world music giants during his carrier, like Quncy Jones, Richard Bona, Per Mathisen, Benjamin Herman, Raynald Colom, Paulo Russo, Martin Shaw, Vincent Mascart, or „Dhoad” Gipsies Of Rajastan. The violinist, and composer Frankie Lato, a key figure among international jazz violinist. He has worked with such excellent musicians as Joe Murányi, Dave Samuels, Sam Rivers, Mike Stern, Didier Lockwood. His credo is following the style represented by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli (the 'Hot Club de France' of French origins from the 1920's) and mixing the 'old school' swing and modern jazz on five-string violin.
